There is an urgent need in our community to enhance resources for a growing number of persons living with the effects of brain injury, stroke, and other neurological problems. For many people, the end of formal therapy services signifies the end of hope. There is nowhere for them to continue to work toward functional recovery as well as general fitness. Traditional exercise facilities such as gyms or workout clubs are not equipped to deal with the needs of these individuals. Persons with mobility needs resulting from brain injury and stroke need assistance and modifications to allow them to exercise.
We want to create a place that not only has all of the equipment necessary to enhance outcomes for this population, but will also provide qualified assistance and encouragement for exercise. It is our vision that these facilities would be an extension of the Physical Therapy Departments at the UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and UT Medical Branch at Galveston. Partnering with these facilities would ensure the highest levels of care and commitment.

The purpose of WhenSeanSpeaks, Inc.
(“the Corporation”) is to educate the public about and raise awareness
of traumatic brain injury, to make people aware, especially the young,
of the consequences of their choices concerning alcohol and to encourage
people, especially the young, to challenge themselves to be alcohol
free until they are of legal age.
In
addition to educating the public about the consequences that can occur
as the result of irresponsible drinking, the Corporation will support research for brain injury, particularly in the areas
of movement and speech impairment.
The
activities of the Corporation will be funded through donations from the
public, corporations and grants it may receive from other charitable
organizations. One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Corporation’s assets
will be used for these purposes

Qualifying contributions to WhenSeanSpeaks, Inc. generally are tax deductible; however, donors should consult with their individual tax advisers on the deductibility of any specific contribution.
